Textured surface Tea bowl /chawan no. 3

The new  Chawan / Tea Bowl collection    No.1    Each of these tea bowls are approximately the same size  Hight 7.5  – 8.5 cm , and each bowl has it own distinctive look and feel, and character.  The external colour varies from blond, through to chocolate shades, this depends, mainly on the final firing , at 1300 deg .c and the  amount of iron  reduction, some areas of the kiln bring more darker tones, while other areas bring lighter shades. I can also control a little colour , on changing the clay mix.  The internal glaze varies, this is my choice of each bowl in the making.  All my clay and glazes are absolutely natural, with no harmful materials in the glaze.  My glazes are a combination of clay, Ash, and feldspar rock. I recommend hand washing, although , i have been told, some have been dish washed for many times without negative effect .

Number 1 has a medium tan, and a olive wood ash interior.  ht. 7.5 x 10cm wide
